Many of our students at MCE get involved in extra and co-curricular activities. One of our current Seniors, Jon Schmoll, is finishing up his pilot's license and has over 50 hours of flight instructional time in the air. Here is his senior video produced by Dice Photography. Jon plans to attend The University of Alaska-Anchorage upon graduation and major in aviation. #PantherNation https://www.facebook.com/dicephotography/videos/386115182294415/?t=0

Each year on November 11th, the MCE Chapter of the National Honor's Society honors all those who have served in uniform within the Morrisville area. Since we do not have school on Monday the 11th, MCE will observe our annual Veteran's Assembly on Friday the 8th at 10:00 AM in the Wayne Keltner Gymnasium. All area veterans are invited to attend as we honor you! Please RSVP to the HS Office (417-376-2216) by November 1st so know how many to expect for the assembly. After the festivities, all veterans are invited to stay for a meal in your honor. When calling in, please include: Veteran's name and address, branch of service along with rank, and dates enlisted. Participating in this year's assembly will be a guest speaker along with the students of National Honor's Society, High School Choir & Band, and the Speech & Drama Department.

This week we celebrate Bus Driver Appreciation and National School Bus Safety Week. We are blessed in Morrisville to have incredible drivers who go above and beyond to keep our students safe. I have the privilege to be able to observe and hear on the bus radios, the tremendous amount of communication that goes on between our drivers and building secretaries to make sure our students get home safely every night. Much of this behind the scenes communication is never known to anyone on the outside, but I get to witness it on a regular basis and I appreciate it immensely. It amazes me how often I hear a bus driver radio in just to check on a student who may not be on their bus to make sure they are ok or were picked up by a parent during the day. This demonstrates the tremendous amount of care our drivers have for the well being of our students. Please take a moment this week and help me thank our drivers for the phenomenal job they do!
