MCE Veteran's Day Invitation Letter

These students and this teacher had a great October! Congrats to the MS/HS Students of the Month and Mrs. Martinsen, our Teacher of the Month.

MCE did well at XC State. Landon Duchsherer ran 15.55 coming in 2nd to the 3X State Champion by a few seconds. They both beat the course class 1 record. Miya Bess placed 33rd out of 143 runners. Great job on a successful season Landon and Miya.

The High School Student Council is selling t-shirts to raise money for BCFO. All proceeds will go to BCFO. The color of
the shirt will be pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. There is a picture at the bottom of the form of the design of the
shirt. These shirts will only be $12.00 (add $3.00 for 2XL and 3XL). All orders will need to be turned in by Friday,

The MCE Schools and the City of Morrisville are excited to announce some changes for the school and community starting today. After the MCE school board meeting and the Morrisville city council meeting last week, Joe Crawford has stepped down as Chief of Police and will be a full-time School Resource Officer for MCE.
The City of Morrisville has promoted reserve officer Derek Lankford to Chief of Police. He is also Chief of the Pleasant Hope Police Department and will be working part-time in Morrisville as well. Officer Crawford will remain employed by the City on an as-needed schedule and will be the Assistant Chief of Police.
As part of our continued partnership, the City is extending the use of a police vehicle during the day, a Morrisville Police commission, badge, and continued use of the report database. In exchange, Officer Joe will be notified of any emergencies that arise in the city during the day and will respond at his discretion. Additionally, the Morrisville Police Department will remain in its current location, a building provided by MCE.
We are excited about this enhanced partnership to keep our students and community safe. Working together is what it takes to make Morrisville "The BEST Place to Live AND Learn!"
Dustin Kessler, Mayor of Morrisville, and Dr. Josh Angel, MCE Superintendent
