Marion C. Early National Honor Society will host the school’s annual Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 11, 2022 in the Wayne Keltner Gymnasium beginning at 10:00 am. A luncheon for veterans and their guests will follow in the gym lobby.
Veterans who plan to attend should RSVP by Friday, November 4th, to Cheryl Hinkle, Counselor via email at chinkle@mcestaff.com or via phone at 417-376-2216 ext. 231. Please provide the veteran's name, branch of service, and number of people in the veteran's lunch party.
Community members are welcome to attend the assembly and should arrive no later than 9:45 am to be seated.


At 3:00 pm our smoke alarm was set off by a few burnt tortillas in our FACS rooms. Staff and students followed procedure and quickly evacuated. All is good!

Final Four gear is in coach banks's room for pickup.

Reminder that tomorrow the MCE STUCO partners up with the Community Blood Center for a blood drive in the Field House. Starting at 9:00 AM and going through 2:00 PM. See you there!

MCE JH girls A team finishes 17-2 on the season. B girls finish 3-7. Great job Lady Panthers. Thank you 8th graders on being great leaders and examples for our JH program over the past couple seasons.

Important Message- Friday, October 28, will now be an early release day. School will dismiss at 11:30am, to allow our staff and students the opportunity to support our Lady Panthers Softball team in the Final Four! The Lady Panthers play at 1:30pm, at Killian Softball Complex. All tickets must be purchased online at https://www.mshsaa.org/CMSPages/tickets.aspx. All students will be served lunch before dismissal.

The speech team traveled to Nevada yesterday, and finished 6th overall in sweepstakes with the following students placing or receiving trophies:
Kindall Hill - 7th in prose reading, missed finals on reciprocal
Bridget Smith-Wilson - 7th place program of oral interpretation
Alawna Bowling - 6th place trophies in program of oral interpretation and poetry reading
Michael Starkey - 6th place trophy in storytelling
Kindall Hill - 5th place trophy in program of oral interpretation
Max Hall - 4th place trophy in program of oral interpretation
Other team members who competed were Brady Calhoun, Mariah Nations and Jillian Smith with Jessyca Roby as team manager.
