Secondary Fine Arts Night is this Tuesday! Hope to see you there.

We are excited to introduce a new program at MCE for the 2024-2025 school year. At MCE our mission is to provide a safe environment where students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to live a fulfilled life. Our stakeholders were clear. They see increasing vocational and technical learning opportunities as key to achieving this mission. How do we do it? We recognize that early experiences and knowledge around the innovation that makes our society possible are essential. What is that innovation? Agriculture. Our nation has benefited greatly from agriculture, but as innovative practices resulted in larger yields, fewer and fewer people, even rural people, realize how agriculture provides our clothing, food, and shelter needs. We are also seeing a society that is becoming more dependent on large corporations to satisfy their basic needs. With that, we are extremely excited to introduce one of the area's first elementary agriculture education programs. This program will be incorporated into the special class rotation for grades 2-5. The program will equip our students with vital knowledge and skills as well as fuel our students' interest in vocational and technical pathways. As our vision states, "MCE will be a beacon of excellence...by CULTIVATING..." We can't wait to see how this program grows. We are also excited to introduce Mrs. Melissa Porter. Mrs. Porter comes to us with a vast background and knowledge of AgSciences. She will be helping us develop this program from the ground up.

Congratulations to these talented MCE musicians for their performances at MSHSAA State solo and ensemble festival today. They each earned a silver/outstanding rating. Well done!
